Loading ...Le stampanti Canon sono certamente nel novero dei modelli più diffusi a tutti i livelli di utilizzo, dall’utente domestico allo studio professionale all’azienda. Seguendo un trend ormai universale per queste tipologie di prodotti, il loro costo d’acquisto è piuttosto contenuto, sopratutto se rapportato alle capacità di stampa che sono oggi in grado di offrire. Ormai non è difficile ottenere risultati semiprofessionali per le proprie stampe fatte in casa. Tutto bene, dunque? Sì… e no.
La scelta che permette di avere un prezzo così basso per la stampante in se’ è quella di venderla sì a prezzo di costo o quasi, quindi con margini minimi, ma di rifarsi poi con la vendita delle cartucce e dei toner di ricambio, proponendoli a prezzi decisamente alti rispetto al loro reale costo industriale. La logica è che, una volta che ho comprato la mia stampante Canon, se voglio farla funzionare devo necessariamente acquistare le cartucce d’inchiostro che la Canon mi vende.
Ma esiste un’altra possibilità, anzi due. Infatti da molti produttori indipendenti è stata immessa sul mercato le così dette cartucce compatibili Canon, come anche le cartucce rigenerate. Ho detto compatibile? Rigenerate? Ma poi funzioneranno per davvero? Forse è meglio fare un po’ di chiarezza: in due parole, per cartuccia compatibile si intende una cartuccia Canon fabbricata da qualcuno che non è la Canon stessa, ma naturalmente identica all’originale, mentre una cartuccia rigenerata è, per così dire, “l’usato ricondizionato” delle stampanti: le cartucce esaurite vengono raccolte, ripulite, riempite di buon inchiostro e impacchettate sugli scaffali dei negozi, pronte a stampare ancora tante pagine. Si tratta di due soluzioni radicalmente diverse da un punto di vista concettuale e dei processi che comportano per le aziende che le commercializzano, ma il risultato che raggiungono è sostanzialmente identico. Per cominciare questi produttori, non dovendosi rifare dei costi per la vendita delle stampanti a prezzi stracciati, possono vendere le cartucce ad un prezzo sensibilmente inferiore all’originale (e naturalmente ci guadagnano ancora, e bene). In secondo luogo, per quanto gli inchiostri usati siano di qualità (in fondo anche la Canon non se li fa in casa, ma va a “fare la spesa” dagli stessi fabbricanti specializzati in inchiostri per stampanti), non costa poi molto riempire le cartucce ben bene, più di quanto faccia la Canon, che ha tutto l’interesse che le cartucce non durino poi troppo a lungo. Risultato: il cliente delle cartucce Canon è contento perché sente di risparmiare ancora di più, e il produttore del compatibile/rigenerato vince la concorrenza con l’originale.
Attenzione solo a non scegliere le marche che puntano troppo al ribasso: come ho detto prima il margine di risparmio degli alternativi sta nel non doversi caricare dei costi di progettazione di sofisticate stampanti, mentre le cartucce devono essere progettate e realizzate con la stessa cura di quelle che andranno a sostituire, per poter svolgere altrettanto bene il loro servizio. Diffidate di chi vi vende alla metà della metà di quello che fanno la maggior parte degli altri, che comunque è già molto meno degli originali, perché a questo punto è possibile che si sia risparmiato anche sulla costruzione della cartuccia e probabilmente non è questo che vogliamo.
Quindi il consiglio finale è: non preoccupiamoci troppo dei termini che troviamo nelle descrizioni dei listini per cartucce e toner; per essere sicuri di non incappare in cartucce di qualità più bassa rispetto all’originale scegliamo semplicemente le marche che, tra le offerte alternative, costano un po’ di più e saremo sicuri di avere un prodotto efficace, affidabile e che ci avrà fatto risparmiare un bel po’ di quattrini.
Con buona pace di chi continua a comprarsi le cartucce toner originali…
